Cooperation Education Culture (CEC)

Cooperation Education Culture (CEC) - A17, A18

Coopération Éducation Culture (CEC) is a non-governmental organization and a continuing education body whose aim is to raise awareness of the fight against racism and discrimination through a critical cultural approach and the deconstruction of stereotypes about Africa, its peoples and Afro-descendants, in order to promote an inclusive, decolonial and sustainable society.

For over 40 years, through its literary, cultural and educational activities, CEC has emphasized the importance of cultural diversity as a source of tolerance and rapprochement. This conviction is still at the heart of our approach, in which promoting the work of artists, particularly those from Africa, the Caribbean and the diasporas, and highlighting their view of representations are considered essential for a better understanding of our contemporary society.

Through their imagination, artists help us to understand social dynamics and imagine other possibilities. CEC is also linked to an extensive network of educational and cultural partners in Africa and the Caribbean.
