OCT 2: RARE BIRDS

Jawad is a teenager from Afghanistan. On January 15, 2022, Belgium declared him an adult, even though he was only 16. Since then, he has disappeared.

A theatrical fiction-documentary written with Brussels teenagers, including unaccompanied foreign minors, Les Oiseaux Rares is a shared arts project halfway between concert and collective performance. Over the course of real and invented testimonials, a kaleidoscopic narrative takes shape. The sound of brass, song and percussion mingle with the spoken word to question the folds of time, borders and identities.

A rare bird is one that is found outside its usual geographical area.
A "rare bird" is also a person full of qualities.

Performances are free of charge and do not require a reservation.
