This Tuesday, February 7, artist Nicolas Gutierrez will be delighted to welcome the public to the opening of his photo exhibition entitled "VESTIGE". The exhibition will run in the splendid Chapelle du Grand Hospice until Sunday February 12 inclusive. Don't miss it!

The Chapelle du Grand Hospice is a venue used by residents and non-residents alike to promote their projects, and more specifically art. Concerts of all kinds, photo exhibitions, pop-ups and many other activities punctuate its agenda. Come and discover its unique atmosphere!

Nicolas Gutierrez is a Brussels-based artist active since 2013. He was selected for a residency at Maison Stepman in January 2019, received the Lauréat at the Fondation privée Carrefour des arts plastic art competition and was also selected for the Festival Bam in La Roche-en-Ardenne in 2016.

" What characterizes the work of this young artist is, above all, a passion for matter and transparency. Resolutely non-figurative, these compositions seem to hesitate between painting and sculpture, which for Nicolas Gutiérrez is an excellent way of questioning the support, the medium and even the destination of the work. From canvas to bare skeleton, from concrete to pigments, from the 'pictorial' layer to the amalgam of fragments of matter, the artist's universe oscillates between lightness and heaviness, between opacity and transparency, between aesthetics and questioning our lifestyles."
